Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to hire a trailer?

To hire a trailer, you'll need a valid UK driving licence and a suitable towing vehicle. We may also ask for proof of address and identification when you collect your trailer. If you're unsure whether your vehicle is suitable, we're happy to advise.

How long can I hire a trailer for?

We offer flexible hire periods, including daily, weekend and longer-term trailer hire. Whether you need a trailer for a few hours or several weeks, we'll work with you to find the right hire period.

Do I need a special driving licence to tow a trailer?

Most UK drivers can tow a trailer, but the rules depend on your driving licence, the weight of your towing vehicle and the trailer. If you're unsure whether you're legally allowed to tow, we'll be happy to help you understand the current UK towing regulations.

Are your trailers maintained and safety checked?

Yes. Every trailer is regularly inspected, serviced and maintained to ensure it is safe, roadworthy and ready for hire.

Can I collect or return a trailer outside normal opening hours?

Where possible, we aim to offer flexible collection and return times by prior arrangement. Please contact us before booking if you require an early morning, evening or weekend collection.

Do you offer trailer hire for businesses?

Yes. We regularly supply trailers to builders, landscapers, contractors, tradespeople and other businesses, as well as private customers. Long-term business hire is available.

What type of trailer do I need?

The right trailer depends on what you're transporting. We offer a range of trailers for vehicles, motorcycles, furniture, garden waste, building materials, machinery and general cargo. If you're unsure which trailer is best, contact us and we'll recommend the most suitable option.

How much does trailer hire cost?

Our trailer hire prices vary depending on the trailer type and the length of hire. We aim to offer competitive, transparent pricing with no hidden charges. Please contact us for a personalised quote. Take a look at our Trailer Prices page for more information.

Can I tow a trailer with an electric vehicle?

Many electric vehicles are approved to tow trailers, but towing capacities vary between models. Always check your vehicle manufacturer's towing limit before hiring a trailer.
